The association runs community events such as the Sand Lake Regatta and the Sailing Regatta to bring people together in a social setting.

The Association owns and maintains two properties for the enjoyment of Sand Lake Residents and their Guests, Emerald Island and the Nature Preserve on Buckley’s Road.
